Makes approx 20 balls
My friend Jax and I make these every year for his mum’s dancing competition. We make a few batches as they get shared with Jax’s mum’s team mates. We say it helps them win trophies!! Not sure about that but it’s our tradition and we treasure it.
250 grams plain biscuits such as malt (my fav), marie (Jax's fav) or biscoff
1 x 395 gram tin sweetened condensed milk
80 grams Milo (approx. 4 tablespoons)
1/2 cup desiccated coconut (40 grams)
Coating: more coconut (approx 60 grams) or hundreds and thousands (approx 150 grams)
In a food processor blitz the biscuit until coarse/small crumbs. Don’t worry if there are a few chunky bits.
Add the condensed milk, milo and coconut and blitz again until just combined. Don’t over mix the dough.
Using your hands, roll tablespoons of the mixture into balls. If the mixture sticks to your finger just wet them with water.
Roll the balls in the coconut or hundreds and thousands to coat.
Place in a container in one layer.
Chill in the fridge for about an hour.
After they’ve chilled you can store these balls in multiple layers in an air tight container.
Enjoy xx
